What did you do for NAIDOC week??

What did you do for NAIDOC week??

This thread is open to everyone, whether you identify or not.

What did you do to celebrate or recognise NAIDOC week, did you go to any local events

Me and my family did not make it to any major events but we did go to our local cultural centre for a walk and a coffee today which was a good outing for us all

We recently had a baby so it was exciting to take her out safely in the pram to a place that is important to me with our entire family

I really needed  it

Yes @ArraDreaming Dad will eventually go there.

It is a bit difficult to negotiate in modern society, but if all the cultural things are carried out he will go there.

If not, he can get trapped between the two worlds. I had an episode of that when he had passed away but things had not been done because of things and he visited me one evening and I felt terrible I had not been able to do the things yet. It has settled down now.

I am watching Gardening Australia on ABC - they are having a special NAIDOC edition - I think they are talking to an Arrente lady - I missed it because i'm typing

I'm sorry about your cousin and that you couldn't get there, but sounds like the next generation was arriving for you

We went out this morning while the sun was shining and took the kids for a walk to my favourite spot
Ended with a bull ant bite for one kid and a very sore back on my end but 90% of the time it was fun
