I feel stupid...
The same man who threw so many of my belongings into the skip bin 2 years ago is the same man who is helping me clear my storage unit on Saturday.
He made excuses about no space
He decided what was best for me then and I'm scared he'll decide what is best for me now.

@avant-garde oh sweetheart, i hear you. You are most definitely not stupid though.
I can only imagine how hurtful it was when he threw so many of your belongings out.
Were you there last time when he threw things out?

Hi @avant-garde
Being able to decide what's best for you is important hey! And it makes sense that you're scared about what might happen on Saturday especially if in the past, that decision making was taken away from you😐. I wanted to echo the support of Dreamy to say that your concerns and fears are so valid. Is there anything in particular that might help you navigate this situation e.g. could you have another support person there to advocate for you or something else that might help?

I wasn't there last time, it was him and my deacon at the time.
His wife is going to be with him this time around
He offered space in his garage for my things, I have no desire to take him up on this, I don't trust him with my belongings.
@TunedIn
When I catch up with him on Wednesday I'm going to be honest and tell him about my fear, that I don't trust him. I need him to take responsibility for his actions and not just make excuses like he normally does

@avant-garde I'm not surprised that you don't trust him sweet. You don't have to take him up on his offer unless you can be sure that your things will be safe and that the same thing isn't going to happen again.
