Just went to pick up dinner, I managed to snap up a "too good to go" surprise bag, sausage roll, blueberry muffin and rocky road for $5, saves places from throwing food out

I had peer support today and one of my friends there, she wrote me this...

There’s a woman I’ve met recently

To whom life hasn’t been fair

There’s been pain and trauma

More than anyone should have to bare

Her resilience is breathtaking

As is her fight to find worth

It seems like she’s getting there

With bravery and mirth

She’s clever and creative

And knows lots of words

Hope she doesn’t mind me saying

She’s a very likeable nerd

She speaks of love for many things

Including God and her cat

There’s also the IGA specials

You can’t argue with that

There’s a group we both attend

She likes it to run on time

Can’t be bothered with paper

When a tablet will do just fine

A book of poems she gave me

Which was a privilege to behold

Her own story she’s still writing

Who knows what will unfold

I think I know what I'm writing about tonight...

I was at my favourite op shop and they have a new store room in the same complex.

The concept of me volunteering in the store room came up because I can't be front of house because I can't risk being found.

I like sorting things and would love to volunteer with them because of how lovely they are.

One of the volunteers didn't know why I can't be front of house.

I was honest.

I told them about my dad.

I told them what he did.

Now I'm dealing with the emotional hit that was for me.

I trusted them enough to tell them.

I doubt myself every time I trust someone.

They each got my poetry book which I know hints at what I went through.

I then went and got a happy meal

@avant-garde being able to volunteer there sounds like a wonderful opportunity and something that you would enjoy.

I hear you sweet and I can understand how hard that would have been for you and the emotional toll it would take. I'm really proud of you for being honest and I understand your fears about being found.

I'm glad that you took care of yourself after and got a happy meal.
