Re: Saturday night come yarn with us

Oh yes absolutely @Captain24 I'm definitely with you on that.

I suppose I was just wondering about the massacre. Of course there were many that were not well documented or documented at all.

I lived in Wiradjuri but in the southern part. It's one of the larger countries, but still if you are still living there you don't want to let that information out.

I have lived on Dharawal most of my life, but I've lived elsewhere like Naarm on Wurundjeri, Wiradjuri etc and I now live elsewhere

So I don't identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people should I still be here or go somewhere else and if so where? I do work with in the NT with said people which is why I don't  want to co-op a space for people who already have to deal with disparity...you guys have enough to deal with than my crap 🙃

Re: Saturday night come yarn with us

I always thought this space was only for people who identify but now I’m starting to wonder whats going on there given its now open and thats a good question

if you prefer just to go to the main forums that’s an option too

I guess if you don’t identify there is nothing stopping you from reading and learning and only kind of jumping in when itd sppproiaye

It's not a matter of preference but respect, I am not sure how all this works and being cultural competent am just feeling my way. I am fortunate to live, learn and work with a great bunch of our traditional owners so year round is I guess always naidoc week. Will check out this platform better. Be well 🌻

Don’t worry @Pixie5 it is most likely due to the time, most people kind of leave around 10pm. Also I notice you posted in Saturday social chat - that will definitely be over. Try starting your own thread - that will likely get more responses tomorrow (mornings are slower than evenings)
