I like owls. I sometimes hear powerful owls at night and, although not strictly an owl, Tawny frogmouths sometimes rest on my clothes line at night

I'm sitting at the laundry trying to get my washing done...so I hear...

Other people rustling and moving around, keys jangling, washing machines going and dryers spinning in the background. There was a little girl singing a few minutes ago, but she's on a device now.

I'm trying to block it out because...overstimulated.

@NightFury I hear you. I’m lucky I’m deaf and when I take hearing aids out I can’t hear stuff. Community washing places can be so loud and usually because not a big space it’s overwhelming. If you happen to have some headphones they can help block some of it out but you may not have any on you where you are.

can I distract you here to help focus on the chat and lessen the overwhelming feelings?

Only have one hearing aid as one ear in totally deaf
