No real friends

No real friends

Am I the only one who is 36 years with no real friends?

I feel like no one makes an effort these days and wish friendships could be what they used to be.

It really does suck.

I always think there's something wrong with me, as I see everyone else with a tonne of friends.

I’ve never really had friends. But yep in my thirties and trying to make friends and it’s hard.

Yeah I am the same. It gets me down. I get upset that no one makes an effort but then it makes me not want to make an effort and it that makes it worse

There are some really interesting thoughts here @SonicPixel @Metal-Girl @Longingforpeace @Friday06 ,

I'm hearing that consistently, people here are looking for friends, yet it seems like a hard gig.

I'm interested to hear:

1) Who would you define as a 'friend'?

2) What are the values you'd like to see in a 'friend'?

I've always found it hard to answer these questions because I honestly don't feel I have friends, but I have lots of people I talk to ALL THE TIME. So much so, that I just want quietness. So with these people I talk to all the time, are they my friends? IDK

I'm interested to hear your thoughts because it sounds like it's something we are all grappling with.

@tyme I just wish my friends reciprocated the care and interest I feel like I show in their lives

Re: No real friends

Have you ever told them that @Friday06 ?

I'm guessing we all live busy lives and sometimes, getting together can be so hard.

I've seen people 'move on' as it seems that that is the nature of people spending more time with family etc.

What do you enjoy doing with friends? Or what would you like to be able to do with friends?
