Baby news

Hi @utopia@Zoe7@Faith-and-Hope@Owlunar@NikNik@Former-Member@Shaz51@Former-Member@Former-Member@Former-Member @CherryBomband anyone else I have forgotten 🙂

Thought it was time to start a new thread. I didn't want to keep writing about my daughter and her pregnancy and anyone else's baby news on my post 'not feeling good', just didn't sound right.

So this morning i am feeling excited and eager to see this ultrasound of my daughter's baby. I hope everything is okay with the baby. Does everyone remember having to drink a litre of water and NOT go to the toilet until after the ultrasound? My daughter thinks it's ridiculous 🙂 LOL

Anyway I will let you all know how it goes once I come back. We have a few things to do this morning for her so I will go with her.

Oh, by the way i have started knitting a baby blanket for the top of the pram. Very colourful, i am mixing all wool that i have. it's looking really nice. Once i am finished i will show you a picture.

Chat again soon,

Very excited nonna (grandma in Italian) 🙂

Re: Baby news

@BlueBay, mmothers like ours rarely say sorry. I find the only way forward is to sever that expectation that they owe you and make a fresh start, rebuilding trust will be slow, and things will never be the same, but its worth a try (with healthy boundaries). Do avoid talking, or even thinking about the past issues around your mum or it will sabatage healing. Keep time short. I remember not long ago you were really missing your dad. This is the perfect opportunity for making peace. Babies do that 🙂 amazing isn't it. I'm so hopeful things will change for the better for you in many areas of your life. Remember, being your own best friend is more powerful than anything they have to offer. Hope this makes sense. Stay strong BlueBay, you're doing so well 💜💕

Hugs, i can see that there are new worries now, and i havent got any good ideas on how to manage them, but thinking of you @BlueBay

Hi @outlander@Former-Member@Former-Member@Former-Member@Shaz51@utopia@Owlunar @Faith-and-Hope @Zoe7

Yesterday while packing boxes I found a box which had some baby clothes that were my daughters. 5 little pink dresses, a little knitted cardigan, and a few other little outfits. they were all in good condition. so i grabbed and my daughter and i looked at them and laughed andn talked. i decided to soak them overnight and this morning i washed them and hung them out on the line. you should see them, one line is full of little pink baby clothes. Oh how it brings back memories!!!

then we found her little doll's pram that we kept. i said to her gee we can put the baby in that. she laughed. oh we also found a dress that she wore for a photo shoot we did. so she had an idea that when the baby is old enough to sit up we will do a photo shoot in the same dress and then put the photos together. i still have that photo of my daufhter in that dress!!!! How cool is that.

Re: Baby news

Thats awesome @BlueBay she really is a forum baby and has so much love her as well as off here.

My mum has a pic of me when i was a baby in a certain dress and both of my sisters in the same dress the only difference in thr dress pic is that it had a headpiece to start with but by the time my sisters came along it was lost but at least we were sll in the same original dress

Re: Baby news

Hi @BlueBay,

That is amazing!! I love it when you find old things like this, especially baby clothes. I can imagine how seeing all the clothes on the line took you back. Much more of this to come

What a good idea your daughter had about doing a photoshoot of the baby in the same dress! That would be the most precious thing. You will be able to put a photo of your granddaughter in a frame next to the one of your daughter

It sounds like this was a great highlight of your weekend
