Re: Can someone help me

Nice days can be a real pick-me-up sometimes @Pepsimax 🙂 Even hanging out the washing isnt the worst thing ever when it's nice outside I think.

Do you have a yard/garden? I'm looking at ours at the moment, all freshly cut and neat and thinking of taking some colouring in outside once I've finished this washing. We have the most awesome lemon tree and it gives the best shade.

Re: Can someone help me

I hear with the nice breeze. The breeze is lovely and cool here this morning too, so much more pleasant than it has been.

Ah, food is ready now. I do hope there's something pleasant in your day @Pepsimax

Really good to hear @Pepsimax. Chatting with you helped me also.

Here's where I am now, feeling a bit calmer inside too

Hugs and hope things keep feeling calm for a while ❤

Re: Can someone help me

@Pepsimax So glad to hear you're feeling a wee bit better!

I had curried egg on toast for my late brekkie, with a cuppa, it was good too.

I'm thinking about making a cake to use up the bananas that went ripe too fast for me to be able to eat them. Oh, and the pears too, they ripened all at the same time. sigh.

I will really have to work on the energy to do it though.

What a lovely image to rest your mind and eyes @CheerBear are they mangoes? No, I embiggened it, that's your lemon tree isnt' it. OH, MY. You Lucky duck!

wow, how fortunatate if that's in your yard, or overhangs your yard.... ymmm. I miss my mulberry trees and my old lemon tree, and the lemon and lime I had in a pot I had to leave behind.

@CheerBear is this in your backyard

Re: Can someone help me

Sure is in our yard @Pepsimax and @Former-Member. It's beautiful and gives us plenty of pancake toppings 😉

The garden here is very special (it's one of the only good things about this house and it almost makes up for the actual house). We have nectarine, quince, peach, olive, apricot, lemon and I think a baby loquat tree throughout the front and back yards. I sit by the apricot tree in the mornings and under the lemon tree in the afternoon.

The fruit I'm getting this season is going from underripe to over-ripe so quickly @Former-Member (from the supermarket - the birds get the garden produce before we do). It's annoying. Hope you enjoy your banana cake if you make it. One of mine loves it but I can't bring myself to it at all.

Do you like baking @Pepsimax?

Re: Can someone help me

What an amazing garden @CheerBear

How fortunate is that. Sometimes the bounty of the yard can make allowances for the rest of what we have to put up with, hey. Lemon Butter, Lemon Delicious, Lemon Marmalade, Lemon Syrup. Lemon juice on pancakes. YUM. When I get them really cheap, I juice and freeze it in ice cube trays for future cookery experiences.

@Pepsimax I think I'm going to go see if I can start sorting the cake out. You look after you

For the Banana Cake, I use a classic Victoria Sponge mix and add whatever extra fruit I have to it, apple, banana. Recipe in Munchies thread for anyone who might want to try it.

I want to see if pears work or not, maybe today, maybe not, not sure yet. Can't get too carried away cos shopping coming later.
