I have lost money to "friends" before ...... I didn't get it back, but Inmade a note about not loaning them anything again, and it turns out that type of person will move on to someone else to borrow money from, probably ruining that friendship too ..... not because of the money itself, but because of a user attitude. They only value someone who is serving them in some way.

@Pepsimax - yes, I saw that issue. I'm so sorry to hear that. It's really stressful isn't it? My house mate didn't pay rent for almost 3 months. And I'm on benefits! Thank goodness she is working again.

@Pepsimax did you get a chance to look at the link I sent you ? Would your housemate consider paying you back in small instalments ? Maybe they can’t return the money in one lot because they need something to live on, but maybe you can come to an arrangement for smaller amounts paid weekly .....
