When people are feeling overwhelmed @Pepsimax it can be helpful to look at holding up a stop sign to let your thoughts know that it okay for them to take a break. There are a few ways that can be helpful to do this (all of which I'm sure you are aware of and have tried from time to time) and maybe it might be worth trying some again tonight.
The one I like the most is applying pressure from the outside of your body inwards - wrap yourself tightly in a blanket. The reason I like this is that it acts to calm your central nervious system so it helps the person to feel more in control
Some others that people find help is the 5 senses, having a shower. Whats your go to strategy?
