Nightmares

Yes. The themes are always similar. War-ish and being chased by, hiding from or in life-threatening conversations with people of a specific ethnicity. It is strange because of my values and demographic that I have a lot of understanding and love for these people. But I wake feeling uncomfortable and ashamed. I assume the news I have been seeing has been affecting my subconscious since I was small. I've come to use it as a sign to educate myself on these people. I also think a lot about why I might be running and hiding, perhaps symbolic of other things I'm running from or a sign signalling my values. These dreams feel so real and prophetic at times. I try to listen to them openly to define my values. But I woke from one this morning, talked it through with my partner and still feel fear.
