Hello @Trickster ,
Thank you so much for this open and honest post - it sounds like your mind isn't being very kind to you today. 😔It's truly so overwhelming when our brain looks for evidence to support the belief that we are somehow bad or inherently flawed. I am here to tell you that you are not. And your concern around being a good person shows me how much you value doing good in the world - which proves that you are a good person.
(Yes, even if you get things wrong sometimes!)
When our mind fixates on needing to know and the inner distrust alarm bells start ringing, it can certainly be hard to focus. This process must be so exhausting... it seems like anxiety-brain can be quite loud for you at times. I want you to know that you are not alone (mine is too!).
I am curious, when do you notice it's more quiet? For example, when you feel a stronger sense of trust and grounding within yourself - what are you doing, who are you with, and where are you?
If you are able to notice these things, is there a way you can connect to one of these elements tonight? I get the sense this will help to slow things down a bit so that you have more room to focus on your study.
I would love to hear how you go and would encourage you to explore some other self-compassion strategies. Here are a few to get your started: Self-Compassion Practices: Cultivate Inner Peace and Joy - Self-Compassion
Talk soon,
Aunt Glow. ✨
