Counselling SANE Support Line no longer operating?

Counselling SANE Support Line no longer operating?

I had called SANE support line to speak to a counsellor for some support today, I was needing some communication and boundary strategies with a family member.

I reached general enquiries and was informed that there is no counselling on support line available anymore? is this true? no more counselling by support line??

I am confused I can't see this on the website anywhere about this being closed? On the home page and in get support it is listed the same hours? Reach out by phone Access free counselling 12-6pm Monday to Friday

If anyone has some information or updates, greatly appreciated

We understand that this is very confusing, which can be especially distressing when you are trying to reach out for support.

Unfortunately, what you heard was true - the counselling support line is no longer available. Changes to the website are being made, however this can sometimes take some time.

We understand it can be a bit of a shock to hear, and gently encourage you to continue reaching out, here on forums or via any of the following:

Lifeline: 13 11 14 or Crisis Chat

Suicide call back service: 1300 659 467 or online counselling

Samaritans: 135 247

If in immediate danger: 000
