my life

hi guys, Im new to this so hello 🙂

I have recently had a motorcycle accident I broke my ribs and arm which caused me to have to take time off work as a plumber, I recently resigned and all my family and friends expect me to be perfectly fine even though I have had a traumatic experience, all everybody does is talk about them selves and im worn out from trying to make everyone else's day better except mine.

even by best friend doesn't talk to me. I'm always the one to contact him first even though I've helped him so much in his life he feels that I don't need the same.

to be honest I don't know what I'm expecting you guys to say but it felt good to just get this out there.

I hope everybody is doing okay and pls send a reply if you would like to chat about anything or to help me in my situation. thanks guys ✌🏼

Re: my life

That’s pretty big @rusty2 having a motorcycle accident where you had significant injuries and then to lose your job.

I certainly wouldn’t expect anybody to be “fine” after that.

People often don’t really listen these days, but I find these forums to be friendly and supportive.

Will your arm injury have ongoing impacts or are you expected to make a full recovery? Plumbing is a pretty hands on job so hopefully you’ll be able to get back to it if you want to.

Re: my life

Good on you for reaching out @rusty2 I recently joined the forums as well, while I am fortunate enough to have people in my life who will listen I feel like I burden them with my problems and depression so good to find like minded individuals hear going through a shared experience.

Being able to share your experience is a great step, hope things get better!
