Good Friday Hangout Space - all welcome!

@tyme that is another thing we have in common. Lovely. It just once per month. We have a team but other ladies couldn't. One cataract op the other has twins but both were in choir. Situation started rocky 4 years ago, cos of different denomination assumptions and disability and dress shaming, but after withdrawing for a year and learning to sharpen my wit. The madam who was a judgie budgie has turned around and we got on well today. It helps that a decent and decent hearted new conductor joined. Apparently I really did need to learn to stick up for myself. It is paying off in 2 other groups as well. Finding ways to stand firm, have a bit of humour, but no nonsense.

I have an assignment due on Easter Sunday, so unfortunately, I've been working on that all day yesterday and all day today, so that I can give myself a uni free weekend.

One thing that's bringing me joy...the warmth that's still in the sunshine. It's bordering on a change in the weather ready for winter here. Winter means days without seeing the sun. So I'm making an effort each day to go out and get some sunshine.

I went to sport training early this morning (have nationals next weekend).

I followed that with breakfast of a coffee and toasted hot cross bun with butter! at the club we go to (surprised it was open).

I have no chocolate in my house - a situation I will need to address urgently tomorrow, when shops open!

Hi @Shaz51 happy Easter. I didn't get to church today or last night for Maundy Thursday as I was giving a recorder lesson to one of my students, and this evening I gave another student a music theory lesson. They're both doing very well. I will get to church on Sunday though, and shall go to the picnic afterwards.

Hi y'all.. Happy Easter to everyone.. My husband and I are having a quiet night tonight and going to visit my god daughter tomorrow for Egg hunt and games etc..then spending Sunday with my family. Taking the kids to a Kite Festival on Monday..

Hey @Milly-May ! Welcome to the forums! It sounds like a very pleasant day/evening you are having and will have tomorrow and the next few days!

It's nice to be away from all the din of the world sometimes and simply experience how pleasant quietness is.

The Kite festival sounds amazing. I've never been to one, but my question is, what happens if the allocated day is not windy? What happens then?
