@DownMoreThanUp I am fine with it. I just try not to think about what could have happened. It's the what ifs that can cause me issues, but I have managed to keep them at bay.
And get this, on the way to my mum's doctor's appointment today, we dropped some Easter eggs off at my sister's place and she had the exact same issue last night. Except she couldn't smell the gas. If it wasn't for her granddaughter and her boyfriend dropping in, things could have ended up differently once again. Luckily the boyfriend could smell the gas and turned it off and aired out her house. How bizarre is it, that both my mum's place and my sister's place has gas filling up their houses from the stove on the same night. My sister said that two of her knobs were turned on halfway and she said that she definitely didn't turn them on. She was using the stove but couldn't work out why the two knobs were on. They both obviously have old stoves, as the ones these days you need to push the knobs in before you turn them, to enable to gas to flow. Their stoves are very dangerous.
My mum said today that maybe it was my dad (who has passed) trying to let us know that he is around, but as I told mum, there is no way he would do something that could cause them harm. But it is so weird that both of their houses had the same thing happen on the same night. It makes you wonder what is going on in the universe......
