i have to cook more food for our dogs!

And i plan to make 3 kgs worth of pies and sausages rolls. i plan to freeze them so we have healthy, yet tasty, lunch time snacks when we feel like something that is savoury.

@Bunniekins Yes i cook most of their food because our dog Shadow, (the non Rottweiler on the photo,) kept getting depressed from he dog food we bought or she refused to eat it altogether. (She is very fussy about food for a dog!)

Yet i knew i could make good healthy food for our dogs for much less than buying expensive dog food in the shop Shadow did not like anyhow. In the shop we pay over 120 bucks (of completely unknown quality,) for 20-25 kg of dog food.

Yet i can cook very good quality and nourishing food, for less than 3 dollars per 1 kg. Usually between $1.80 - $2.80, depending what kind of meat i choose to add to the food.

i mostly use Chicken, (i can buy chicken for less than $4 kg,) but make sure that at least every three weeks, or so, i use either Roo, Lamb or Beef, whatever comes cheapest.

Our home made dog food cost a maximum of $75 for 25 kg of food, instead of $110+ plus Shadow loves her food now and has not been depressed since i began feeding them my own food.

@DownMoreThanUp that is wonderful re making own food, saving dollars, better quality than store brand and most importantly keeping Shadow happy 🙂 .
