I'm having a PET scan tomorrow for my cancer and I have been on a restricted diet for 48hrs prior to scan - no carbs! and other restrictions including no fruit or dairy. I am now fasting since 7pm tonight until the scan, which fortunately is in the morning but takes 3hrs! I can have water, but absolutely nothing else not even chewing gum.

So definitely no pizza or tinned fruit for me!
