I don’t know why I continue to have them when I should already be sleeping. 😑😭😒

Re: Late night thoughts

Sleep is so important and it’s tough when there are thoughts when the brain should be resting.

Re: Late night thoughts

I've had those for most of my life, even worked in my sleep.
Relaxation techniques can help people if they practise them.
So can less mental stimulation before bedtime, a dark room, regular sleeping hours and a comfortable bed.
Unfortunately I am facing so many mental health issues and barriers in my life that I need prescribed medication to sleep properly.
Speak to your GP as a first port of call if it goes on long enough to start causing disruption to your day to day life.
There are some good online resources too and I find calling Lifeline for a chat around bedtime can help me unload some of my anxiety,
hope this helps,
sending love

@Blackcloud

I'm sorry you had a tough night. I have nights like that as well when my mind just wont shut off. It's hard. I try to change my thoughts to happy thoughts or memories, sometimes it works. I find it's worse when i'm feeling overwhelmed or really stressed about something. Is there something worrying you at the moment that may be keeping you awake?
