Have you ever thought about writing a book - complex trauma sufferers

Have you ever thought about writing a book - complex trauma sufferers

I'm midway through writing a book about me, my experiences, my life. I want to shine a light on us that are psychosis sufferers and the negativity around that. I have had a hell of a life and am happy now as much as can be.

Do you ever think of writing a book?

I've never considered authoring a book. But I previously worked in creative industries

Write to enjoy writing

If you want maximum reach to the most people, you are most likely better off posting on socials like tiktok and instagram

But writing can be cathartic in the process of doing it. Just not with any view towards reaching masses or making money

Hi @Jigsawpuzzler

I've definitely thought about writing a book before. I enjoy writing, but I also work in front of a computer 5 days a week, so writing for fun is sometimes a challenge.

I agree with @DogMan79 ; writing can be so cathartic and even if it doesn't ever get published, having your story written down sounds very therapeutic. I personally think we need more stories like yours out there, especially when you can share how you got to where you are today.

@Jigsawpuzzler i actually started writing mine, I got around 10000 words done but never finished it. I hope I'll pick it back up at some stage. Even if I don't publish it helped just writing things down and putting it all in a different perspective.

I think more of us need to get out stories out to show we are a community of people, just people living like everyone else and suffering with terrible disorders.
