The issues

The issues

Hi everyone,

I've been having some serious issues lately.

I am a carer and got falsely blamed by a client at work. Since then they reduced my hours and no investigation has been done. Also they've given me the hard clients at work so now it is a game of endurance while I am searching for a new job where I'll be appreciated better.

I've had a car accident in the meantime: I got hit my a truck. Thankfully none is injured but the truck company wantts to get out of it eventhough it is their fault and I've got the video recording.

My stress levels are very high and I feel like am going to break.

My family can help out financially if I really need it but this whole situation is stressful and I wish that I am better of financially so I can quit this job while looking for another. Do my best I guess.

Re: The issues

welcome @NK nice to have you join the forums!!

i'm so sorry to hear about your work and accident. i can't imagine how overwhelming it must be to have those big situations occur, totally understand why your stress levels would be through the roof. i am really glad that you weren't harmed and that you're family is there if you need financial support.

looking for a new job sounds like a good idea. but also please do take it easy and be kind to yourself. it's okay to take things one small step at a time. have you been able to prioritise your self-care lately?

Re: The issues

Thank you for your warm welcome and a quick reply @rav3n.

My self care usually consists of seeing the live theatre, trying to get some good sleep, eating healthy and walking in the nature.

I've been traumatised by this whole situation so starting some free counselling this Sunday. Hopefully it helps!

I just wonder how people can treat others badly because I usually go from the attitude of treating others the way you would like to be treated?

Also at the back of my mind is fear of: what if something even worse happens? How would I be able to deal with it?

Hopefully no law of attraction in this case lol

Re: The issues

loving the self-care you have going on! live theatre sounds pretty cool, any recent ones you've enjoyed? @NK i love a good walk in nature too.

great to hear you have that counselling session coming up, hope all goes well!!

i hear you, it's hard to process something like this. especially when it seems like you've got such a big heart, it's even more painful to think that people can mistreat you like this. unfortunately sometimes we get dealt with bad cards, and we face things we do NOT deserve. i like to think of these tough moments as a way of building strength and resilience. also its in times like this we realise, we're actually stronger and more capable of overcoming obstacles than we think we are.

obviously i wish this never happened to you in the first place, but now that it's happened, all you can do is do your best to take care of yourself. and we're here for you too, if you need a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, etc.

whatever comes next, you got this.

Re: The issues

@rav3n thank you! I like your perspective on resilience and the capability.

I usually think: maybe it's something about me on the subconscious level attracting those people to treat me badly. But the truth is we deserve to be treated well if that is how we treat the others.

If there is something on subconscious level it can always be dealt with once it comes up to the surface!

I have seen a lot of good plays lately at Old Fitzroy theatre in Woolloomooloo and also at [edited by moderator]: Flight Path theatre in Marrickville. They all good value and a laugh or tear jearker. I highly recommend them.

Thanks again and have a good night x

Re: The issues

i once read that when you feel like you're attracting bad people/energy, it's the world's way of saying 'you need to work on setting boundaries and not people-pleasing' @NK do you feel like your good with boundaries, or are you a fellow people pleaser?

thanks for sharing! will definitely look into it 😊

Re: The issues

@rav3n I am definitely not a people pleaser! If anything I am honest, authentic as I can be, transparent and open.

If anything I feel it can relate to the self esteem and self worth issues.

It is just hard sometimes to get back up on your feet when you've been knocked down a few times in the last few years.

There have been a lot of great moments as well, don't get me wrong.

I guess I find the issues of being let down, betrayed, rejected more difficult than the others.

Thank you x

Re: The issues

love it! Being authentic and transparent is something i've been working on myself so I really admire that about you @NK

that's very valid - rejection and betrayal are tough to bounce back from for me too. i hope that time helps you heal, and i hope that better people find their way into your life instead. you definitely deserve good things.
