Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin I had the intention of trying to eat a bit healthier. My eating is dysregulated and busy teacher life and crashing after work makes it hard for me to even feel like cooking. I've not been getting enough vegetables...

On top of that...my meds have stolen my apetite. Mostly, I'm not hungry. But occasionally I get that hungry I start to feel sick.

So, I did a YouFoodz order. Tonight I had garlic chicken kiev's with broccoli and sweet potato.

Re: Battles

@NightFury i completely get that whole being too busy and tired to cook, cooking can take so much effort even just deciding what to cook overwhelms me at times.

I hate when meds mess with your appetite so you don't eat then you get to that point where you feel sick cos you haven't eaten. It's so frustrating.

The point is that you are still eating whether that be a home cooked meal or a frozen meal it doesn't matter. And that tonight sounds very yummy, I hope you enjoy it 😊

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin I just can't cook consistently for myself at the moment. So I attempted to problem solve...by ordering premade meals. We'll see how it goes.

It was okay. I've had worse frozen meals. So...not too bad.

Re: Battles

@NightFury that right there shows that you are still taking care of yourself ❤️.

Glad it wasn't too bad. I just can't do frozen meals cos of my anxiety so it's always fresh cooked meals when I eat.

@Jynx @AuntGlow @NightFury

Funny that this came up in my feed cos of how similar it is to what I always say ❤️. At the moment we are taking it one breath at a time while I wait to connect to lifeline as I just witnessed something very traumatic 😞.

Re: Battles

That makes sense @MissGremlin you don't really know what you're eating...

My head is now pounding....gah!

Re: Battles

@NightFury its also the meats that i have an issue with, i can't really eat reheated meat.

Oh no, that's horrible. Is it worth taking something for it or is it better to sleep it off when you can?

In response to: Re: Battles

Re: Battles

@MissGremlinI get that too.

I'll see how it goes, but I'd rather try and sleep it off.

You okay?

In response to: Re: Battles

Re: Battles

@NightFury sleeping it off is usually my preferred choice but if that's not an option or it doesn't work then I know there's at least the option of taking something for it.

That's hard to answer, I'm ok myself but not ok for what I've seen happen. Just waiting to connect to lifeline to talk about it.
