Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

@Blackcloud everything is so expensive these days. Hopefully if you can get it, it can help you aswell.

How's your day been so far?

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin yeah, these days I've been constantly keeping a record of the amounts of different things I'm gonna and would have to spend on within every upcoming fortnights (including rent) I find that to be helpful so that I know if there's anything I need to cut back on. Sometimes it can be a bit of a pain having to constantly budget, and its no wonder why the world is broken considering the rise in cost of living 😕

today's been fine. i went out with my mother and that was pretty much it. i also happened to have missed a call from a plumber as i initially inquired the reception about the dishwasher in my room not operating so i hope either the reception or the plumber that called me earlier can get back to me again.

i hope you've been doing fine too, even if its not going well for you right now ❤️

hey @MissGremlin!! how are you holding up? it's good to see you and i hope you're taking things slow? i know that the last week has been really hard for you, and i think your poem captures a lot of those heavy thoughts/feelings you've been carrying around. thank you for sharing such a raw piece, we hear you - you're not alone 💗

hiya @Blackcloud! how'd the Ballarat trip go?

Re: Battles

@rav3n it wasn't that fun. we got off at ballarat station from the vline train but within our 10 minute walk within the area, we were only able to get through some of the shops that were nearby and then head back to the station again. we didn't have time to look for other interesting places like the botanical gardens, because i've found out that to get from the station to botanical gardens, it requires you to take the vline train to one more station and then a 13 minute walk from that station to the botanical gardens. but if you were to walk from ballarat station straight to botanical gardens instead, you would need to spend 1 hour walking. we didnt have time for any of that since my mum needs to go and pick up my sister from school in the afternoon, plus the vline train from southern cross station to ballarat is like more than 1 hour ride. 💀

Re: Battles

Hello @rav3n, things are so hard. Taking things slow yes but only cos I don't really have a choice at the moment.

Trying to keep myself distracted today, I'm doing my puzzle and chatting on the forums.

Things were starting to build up a bit and I could feel myself slipping so I was chatting to lifeline. Now I'm about to have a cuppa, wanna join me? I just really need some company right now and distractions.

It felt good to be able to write some of those thoughts and feelings out, although I did worry about sharing them cos i didn't want to get in trouble. I know they aren't exactly positive poems but it's just how I'm feeling. Never know maybe one day I'll be able to write something positive.

Re: Battles

@Blackcloud how do I keep missing some of these posts, glad you tag me again so I can actually read it.

Yeah it's so hard when you have to keep track of where the money is being spent. The cost of living is ridiculous and I'm struggling to keep the house while keeping on top of bills and trying to buy food.

Hope going out with your mother went well. That's frustrating when you miss a call, hopefully they ring back and you can get the dishwasher sorted out.

Just taking things minute by minute at the moment ❤️

Re: Battles

Thanks @NightFury, you don't know how much it's needed right now. Things have just gotten really intense and emotions, thoughts and feelings are completely taking over. Trying hard to focus on this puzzle at the moment.
