Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@Appleblossom usually I'm aware of them and can sort of say exactly what I'm feeling. But right now I just can't, the most part of me is numb and that's a feeling I've not really had much experience with.

So I'm not quite sure, I know I'm exhausted but not really feeling that even.

Re: Battles

@RiverSeal driving, went to the shops, came home and did washing and dishes then had to go out again and back to the shops, then came back home put washing in the dryer and hung the other things up and I made myself a cup of tea.

I think I'm starting to crash, but it's not a normal full crashing down, at least not yet anyway. I've just sat down for the first time and my legs are feeling tingly and numb.

Re: Battles

I can relate to feeling numb a lot. @MissGremlin I also had a sense of lack of future. We do value you here in forumland. I worry I sound too scientific and trying to find words for my feelings. I tried feeling wheels etc ….lol… but it seems best to try and mix with others and share and notice the movements of my inner world.

Re: Battles

@Appleblossom that's a question that I hate to answer when people ask me 'what do you look forward to in the future', my answer is 'I don't see a future because I don't want to be here'. It's horrible when you can't see past the right here and now cos the unknown is too overwhelming and things are too hard. Now i just live each day as it comes and take it one moment at a time, so there's still a future but it just looks a little different to others cos for me it's just 1 day, 1 hour, 1 minute at a time.

Sounds like a busy day @MissGremlin no wonder you feel like you are crashing now!

Do you usually get a tingly and numb feeling in your legs? Might be something to call the Nurse On Call about do you think?
