Hi Guys, so the heading says most of it. But I'm post menopause. Just had the one off bleed. But my Drs not happy. Sent something away when she tested awhile ago. Don't remember details. But have to have another and since learning of my others. I have had a extra amount of contact from within. But not good at getting info back and forth. Only know During this next papsmear, things might get worse?

Hi @Just I am mindful that you have DID otherwise my question might seem weird.
What do you mean by “taking off”? Do you mean physically leaving, or dissociating, or another part being present for cervical smear?
Does the person doing the test know about the DID?
Can you have a support person in the room when you have the cervical test?

Dissociation would be the way I coped with pap smears in the past @Just
Is there a comfort object you could bring with you to help reorient when it is done?

Do you have any internal communication between the parts?
Do they speak to each other, are you aware of any of the other parts?
Sometimes the system can organise the part that is most likely to handle the situation to be present at the time.
