Manipulation
Manipulation can also be considered a form of psychological abuse because it involves controlling, deceiving, or influencing someone in a way that undermines their autonomy and well-being. It often includes tactics like guilt-tripping, gaslighting, passive-aggressiveness, and emotional blackmail to make the victim doubt themselves or act against their best interests. Over time, this can erode self-esteem, create dependency, and cause emotional distress. Manipulative individuals exploit vulnerabilities to gain power, making the victim feel trapped or powerless. In relationships, workplaces, or family dynamics, psychological manipulation can be just as harmful as physical abuse. Recognizing and addressing it is crucial for mental health and personal boundaries.
