Gardens

Gardens

Hi @Dimity How is your garden looking? Still green? Weeds? What is your favourite plant/s you have?

were you able to bring Tiger home?

Im slowly trying to teach myself about gardening, thank goodness for Google. One of my neighbours has good plant knowledge, it was her that suggested putting the cuttings into water. She puts water in old juice bottle each time she wants to get cuttings to grow roots.

Re: Gardens

@Dimity Thank you for being the ‘voice’ of calm last night. Staff member from online company has advised Aust Post have confirmed tracking info has not been updated plus due to recent public holiday they can’t guarantee delivery on time. Aust Post not like it was couple decades ago.

with mix of the meds stuff plus yesterday blocking X number relatives on FB …. Today is not a good day. Having reached out to certain relatives that I had good rapport with in younger days, seeing posts and photos of ‘aunts and cousin get together s’ to which I’ve been excluded ….. I know I’ve made right decision for me, still hurts though

Re: Gardens

Are you OK @Former-Member with the meds withdrawal? I hope you get the meds very soon.

Being excluded must hurt. A couple of years ago I was excluded from the family line-up at a wedding. That hurt deeply. And my Christmas cards and messages have been ignored. I try not to dwell on it.

The shared front garden looks good today with dead flax lily gone and fresh mulch down.

Re: Gardens

Script issued by online doctor today and filled by my local pharmacy. Had headache early @Dimity, think was general tension headache due to worrying about getting the meds. Lots of tears and SI started last night. Weird dreams last night with few hours sleep.

they are only group of cousins on my dads side in this town, this state in fact. Recently saw photo of some of them at a cafe, comment by one cousin was about not getting the invite. I posted same comment. Her comment has been acknowledged, mine ignored. Reconnected with one about 2 yrs ago and given different reasons why her mum can’t catch up. Few days ago they all met at her mums and posted photo on fb. That was final straw.

as my MIL used to say, better to be alone and have no one than have people in your life who don’t care.

still feel flat. This afternoon though did some work on project I’m doing for lovely 80+ year old relative who has very limited internet knowledge. Project involves manually creating and typing descendants of husband and wife who came to Australia in late 1800’s, making it into a descendant family tree with more than 100 names.

looks nicer out front of my place and much neater without the huge Daisy type plants. Need to get some succulent potting mix so can get the little succulents planted plus the piece of kalanchoe that I accidentally broke off.

Re: Gardens

Well done on getting the meds @Former-Member .

I only have 2 cousins but have lost touch with both.

Your genealogy work might inspire a reunion. Many years ago there was one for descendents of one of my ancestors.

One of my neighbours doesn't like gardens, says he likes flat lawn. I guess it's neat...

Re: Gardens

Oh no @Former-Member - did you end up getting the meds? Mine get couriered by my pharmacy fortnightly. I can see it would be so frustrating not to have the meds you need - and on time!

How have you been otherwise?

HOw does your garden grow?

Re: Gardens

Hope your depression lifts quickly @Former-Member . It can be miserable.

What new plants did you get?

Re: Gardens

I’m physically sore and exhausted @Dimity but feeling relaxed. Hoping I can get some descent night sleep

I bought some new chrysanthemums as I had intended. Not far from register I saw plants that caught me eyes. Bracteantha Mohave. Plants had flowers either red or orange, I bought one of each.

4 new chrysanthemum, 7 lisianthus all now in larger pots. Small kalanchoe now potted ready for sale on Saturday morning
