Gardens

Gardens

Hi @Dimity How is your garden looking? Still green? Weeds? What is your favourite plant/s you have?

were you able to bring Tiger home?

Im slowly trying to teach myself about gardening, thank goodness for Google. One of my neighbours has good plant knowledge, it was her that suggested putting the cuttings into water. She puts water in old juice bottle each time she wants to get cuttings to grow roots.

I don’t get good night sleep due to pain in my neck and lumber area. Lots of pain in arms in the mornings due to muscle stiffness. Both hands semi numb, feel swollen and limited strength. Takes couple hrs to get full movement with almost no pain

Re: Gardens

@Shaz51 @Former-Member I've just realised I haven't had my lumbar back and sciatica pain overnight for several weeks. Dunno but it could well be the physio - I'd been sceptical. I do try to stay warm. It's still painful to get up from lying down, and at times during the day but I'm thankful for the improvement.

Re: Gardens

@Dimity Anti-inflammatory tablets are helping, especially with my hands.

Im not quite so nervous about the spinal nerve block.

tomorrow afternoon I have appointment with pain management Dr via zoom. I have my written list of questions. I’ve decided to have all the suggested treatments based on 1) if work, will be good for me; 2) if don’t work, I’ll be no worse off.

Re: Gardens

So glad you've found something that helps @Former-Member .

I hope the consultation tomorrow goes well. The Dr might be able to book you in now you've decided to go ahead.

I'm booked for a colonoscopy in a few weeks. It's well overdue. I had a couple of problematic ones in quick succession several years ago.

It looks as though I'll have to look for more fence quotes. I've only had one.

Re: Gardens

@Dimity I’ve got lots of questions for the Dr tomorrow, most are general questions for nerve block eg things I can or can’t do, where will I be whilst being monitored after procedure.

for infusion which involves week in hospital, questions about does hospital garden, movement restrictions.

waiting list for first nerve block procedure was approx 3 mths when I saw pain management dr. Tomorrow I will be added to the wait list.

Today I found some energy and made some more Christmas cards. I’ve got 30 something litre plastic box with items for cards that are ready to be made. Made few very simple cards today. Tomorrow morning I need to reply to email from Legal Commissioner office regarding complaint I lodged about lawyer I was seeing earlier this year. In reply I have to include outcome I’m seeking from their office. Thinking of asking for written apology from lawyer acknowledging breach of duty of care as a lawyer also improvement to filing and storage practices and procedures of the firm.

its surprising about the fencing quote. Would have thought tradesmen and handymen be providing quotes etc to have work. Have you tried firms like Jim’s, Hire a hubby, Grey Army or similar? I’ve had work done through more than one of these type firms and have never had a problem

Re: Gardens

Hope your appointment went well @Former-Member .

Christmas will be coming up fast.

I had problems with a solicitor 20 years ago. I got an outcome of sorts after saying I'd contact the Law Institute.

I followed up your suggestion and tried to ring the Grey Army but they weren't answering. I'll try them and more places tomorrow.

Re: Gardens

Appointment went well @Dimity

Dr answered some of my questions before I got to ask them. Big surprise, staff member from the pain management group phoned me this afternoon and discussed few things including that I’m booked in to have the diagnostic spinal nerve block done on 22 August.

send text message to neighbour asking if he is able to the driving that reply. Reply came as ….. uummmm, ok. Is in the calendar. Couple weeks ago he measured for raised garden beds and was going to get me a quote, I’m still waiting. Now thinking maybe I shouldn’t have asked him. I don’t know.

I know everything to do with my physical health is taking its toll on me emotionally plus my MH. I’m feeling ok about the week in hospital, already making plans in my mind of things to pack.

quicker 22August gets here, nerve block is done and I’m on my way home the better
