Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Yes overall my @Jynx 😁

Family members dropped off presents 🎁 for me on the patio

Later my cousin said we will have something special for me when everyone is well again xxx

Oh wow @Shaz51 , they are such good choices....I wouldn't be able to decide between the two which one I would want to use.

@Jynx , @Ainjoule

It is strange though, 🤔 I got hundreds of birthday messages on social media

But after all it is the family that matters even though Mr shaz's does not want his family members or my family members near the place xx,

Hi @Shaz51

Now and again I come in here to read - so yes - thanks for the birthday messages and you are in the 60s club now - that's seems so young to me now - I am 81 - I have so much to remember now luckily - I can still remember

I get it that Mr Shaz doesn't want anyone near the house - but why - I don't know - but that has to be hard on you.

I am okay - my attitude is a good one for coping with chronic pain -

And - I really hope you are okay - knowing you are probably battling

Sending you my best

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Shaz51

It's good to see you - I do read in here from time to time - now I find it hard to relate to people's really genuine issues - whether that's because I have moved on to the next stage of my life or just because this stage has had its own adventures - I don't know -

I've been challenged - mostly I enjoy my life - my dental surgery took a lot out of me - it was worth it - the whole process took months - nearly a year when my nutrition failed because I couldn't chew. I saw a nutritionist - she helped me out.

Things fell apart between me and my daughter - aw - her spinal fusion failed and she has other health issues - normally her criticism of my choice to have dental implants would not have bothered me - I was too vulnerable though - hopefully she is getting over herself now.

We are very different people - I research everything so I even knew and understood the gases I had for the operation - my daughter wouldn't want to know and that's okay - that's her choice - maybe she's learning something I know nothing about now - or - I already know everything about -

It's okay - my shoulder is still a major problem - I have support workers through My Aged Care - the research I did on that paid off - for me - the more I know the better I cope.

I am pretty sure things are still tough with Mr Shaz - and I am pretty sure you haven't had your kidney transplant - though you might have. I know your dear old Mum died a good while back and that must have been a tough time for you.

I think of my dear friend - how you are such a battler now in your 60s - which seems very young to me now

Take care of yourself - there is no need to put yourself last - you are worth a great deal more than that.

All my love

Mumma Bear
