Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

You're welcome @Dec, here's a couple more you might like

Chin up my owl friend ☺ I'm just watching a lovely old movie you might like 'Going My Way' with Bing Cosby (he has a beautiful voice) Have you seen it? Guess its a musical, everyone likes that song Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra... well, maybe not everyone.

Is it raining where you are?Myserable here, cold wind, i'm so sluggish I stayed in bed all day, and now its dark, very slack but not beating myself up.

Just opened a tin of soup - winter vegies. What's on the menu at your place tonight?

Hi @Owlunar How are you doing today? I have been thinking about you and hoping that you are 'getting by' ok

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Former-Member

Thanks for all the cute owlets - that is fabulous

My taxes are done - I have finished with that for now - and it's a relief

I have seen "Going my way" a long time ago - but my Irish descended mother used to sing that lullaby to my brother - I thought that was nice - and my memory of it is nice - and I sing it to myself sometimes - not to sleep but for the memory

We have had some mild weather in Melbourne - sunny in the mornings and cold - but milder later - and cloud builds up in the afternoons - of course this will all change now I have said it. This morning I got up early and looked outside - it was too misty to see any stars rising - stars I know will appear as we get toward spring - I could see Venus which is very bright but mostly my breath was condensing into a cloud that seemed to surround my head - I went back to bed and went back to sleep until late - I seem to sleep longer at this time of year - maybe all the time - I go to bed late - but tonight - I am going early

My daughter is dropping in tomorrow - I told her my cacti had died and by chance the nursery where she is a horticulural adviser was throwing some out so my daughter rescued them for me - ha ha - rescued cacti -

I enjoy cacti - I like them on the window sill in my kitchen but they don't last forever

Busy afternoon - I will be glad to go to bed early tonight

Re: Life can be a Pain

I have my moments @Zoe7

Every now and again I get a little unstuck - but keeping busy is always good - like getting new clothes, hair-cuts - something for my arthritic fingers etc - getting my antibiotics script filled - seeing the accountant

(I told my doctor that I knew there was nothing I could do for my arthritic fingers except take the supplement I am already taking but ran out of. He told me to exercise my fingers and I type for a large part of the day and play the piano - ummmmm - quaint yeah)

That was okay - more angst before going than since - the taxi driver had trouble finding me because the address in the website is different to the website where they are now - ahhhhhhhhhhhh whaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!!!

Still it worked out today - I actually enjoy sleeping in but the day goes fast - if I get up early the day feels as if it lasts forever

Maybe going to bed early tonight will help - I can hope so - Tuesday night has a lot of TV - tonight doesn't - yawn -

Thanks for your thoughts - it means a lot that people care

I'm not doing so well tonight @Owlunar but I wanted to let you know that I have read your post and am thinking of you - just not in a great headspace to reply

Re: Life can be a Pain

Thanks @Zoe7

Take it easy and hopefully you can get some sleep again tonight

My head can get a little weird at times - so I do understand - mostly I keep to myself or ring Life Line - they always help

But I know you find it hard to talk or even type at times - so rest easy now and thanks for your msg

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Zoe7@Former-Member@Shaz51@outlander@utopia

I didn't sleep well last night - and around 5.00am I gave up and played a movie and feel asleep and woke up with a migraine

Like

Aw................I was going to see my daughter today but I had to cancel - I tried to go back to bed but Ms Fluffy Paws got around and in and out and back and forth - gave that up

The headache has eased off but I always feel as if I have been kicked in the head after one of those

So I am not up to date where everyone is and it's really hard to think

So back later when I literally have my head in the right space
