Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

I understand @Shaz51 but you really are.

You have such a lot to contend with not even taking into account your own health struggles. Big hugs and a reminder again that you really are incredible 🤗

Hi @Anastasia @Shaz51 @Emelia8 @Zoe7

Life does go on and I usually manage to go with the flow - this last lock-down has given me a few moments and today I am looking forward to hearing the news about the how Victoria is going and whether we can come out of lock-down tonight.

I have had two dental appointments cancelled and I have one tomorrow to have the root of a broken tooth out - I hope this can happen and I am not thinking about the extraction and perhaps this time I won't have a melt-down - let's just float through it

I had a hair-dresser's appointment cancelled too - and I don't have another - I guess the salon will be overwhelmed when this lockdown is over - and I am having a bad feather week this week - um - life again - it happens

And the weekend was strange - I was alone as always and I have new books to read so I was occupied but the weather - warmer than natural and the forecast storms still haven't arrive

So anyway - I feel like having my say about this. I went to the pharmacy late yesterday - I have great outings - my doctor and my pharmacy - really - and an old man there chose to try and bully me and apart from telling him to settle down and that I am totally vaccinated he needed to go on with it. I ignored him - really wishing I could tell him to go home and bully his wife - enough of that - I am glad today that I kept my mouth shut. It was horrible at the time

On a good note - I finally got myself a new jumper on-line and I am thrilled with the experience - I am planning to get more things - I don't want to go to the mall because I really hate the idea that I could find myself in a Tier One exposure and need to be totally isolated for 14 days - I am really glad I can avoid that

So - this is my exciting life right now - I am having a great time reading my new books. Also - I saw a great movie based on a great novel - My Cousin Rachel - I had forgotten that novel - and in searching I found another classic - Rebecca - I am glad I found this forgotton stories - it's been a long time since I read them and I am looking forward to again

All the best everyone - it is taking forever to find out way out of this COVID disaster - there has to be a morning after - as the disaster song goes

Oh @Owlunar the thought of you being bullied upsets me. I am so sorry that the man felt the need to do that 🤬🤬🤬

Lockdown lifted I just heard. So happy for you.

Running in only so need to go but sending you love always xox

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Anastasia

And thanks

Yes - it was an unpleasant experience. It took a while to settle down when I got home

But he only tried to bully me. I ignored him after my first sentence and sat in a chair staring into space and when he kept on railing at me I gave him a long, hard, cold stare. I think he really wanted me to retaliate but I chose not to. I could see no point in arguing with someone spoiling for a quarrel. I am unhappy about it though

I will usually spark up with people like that but I was too tired. There are times when the lock-down really gets to me. Luckily we are allowed out for any reason starting last night and I can see my dentist about my broken tooth today. I don't think I will be having it out because I will need to have my partial denture adjusted. It's all over now anyway

Thanks for your support - it is much appreciated
