Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Hi @Shaz51 @BlueBay @Razzle @outlander @Zoe7 @utopia @Appleblossom

It has been really cold and bleak in Melbourne - of course everyone here knows this because we keep telling each other - so sad

Actually yesterday was the coldest May day on record here and someone called it a cold snap!!!! Really - I think it was more like a cold-tsunami - overpowering mountains of freezing air coming up from Antarctica and hitting this polar-weather unprotected city - we had all the rain in Australia yesterday - it was dark and we had hail and thunderstorms - I could go on and on but it's a bit better today

I had a pretty ordinary week last week but this week has been easier - it's not winter yet but the time of year when my son was in detention is passing with only a few bad days that pass off I am glad to say -

My son-in-law is going into hospital for his angiogram tomorrow - he was told not to do too much this week so I gather he has not been working but rather resting with their cat

Okay - apart from all of that things are pretty much okay at this end -

Yes it was cold @Owlunar

But a few brave souls got out and about enjoying life. I treated self and went out to a pub where friends and poetry music and entertainment were warmth to the soul. It was cool and organic and infectious.

Glad to hear you are mostly alright.

Me too.

Back and neck bugging me.

But I am better than surviving.

Hi @Owlunar . Last night here in country Victoria it got down to 1 degree but with wind chill feels more like minus 1.

So at 4am, still not asleep, I go and put the heater on low in the lounge room. I normally sleep with my bedroom door shut, but I kept it open, hoping some of the lounge room heat would seep into my room. I think it must have worked, because I woke up and my feet weren't frozen. Lol.

Hope you have a nice day.

Keep warm.

Glad things are better this week for you @Owlunar It is freezing here also this week - winter has certainly hit us already.

Have things I need to do this weekend so hoping it doesn't rain on Saturday at least. Then Sunday I can settle in for a quiet day with my fur babies.

How is your toe going?
