Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Thanks Tabby Cat

Strange how people have these ideas about what we take, when and why - amazing

I - of course - cannot say what I am taking nor can you - but I have the same trouble with travel sickness pills - darn it - the ones I ask for work and others don't

There has to be some questions I suppose - but for most of my stuff there are authorities etc and I get so tired of it all 0_l_]] D'uh

Re: Life can be a Pain

That's what I felt last night @TAB - not quite a smart A but kinda interferring - had he checked back in the records he could have seen I take less and less

I quit smoking overnight - easy some might ask? - Ah - well - I thought a mobile phone was more interesting but I sometimes could reach over and grab someone else's cigarette

So - about 15 years now - and I still have mobile phones

Re: Life can be a Pain

got it in the end @Owlunar ah yeah was presicribed apparently addictive med for 5 years used to get repeats, months worth. I had to get off it as they stopped prescribing it, just made it harder and harder and last time got anything it was stuff I was trusted to get over counter for ever and half size packet was hilarious. I seriously think they are worried they will be deported or found out to have false quals etc

Anyway. lot less pain now, a lot of it was from actual meds now know, but believe it has its uses and i have the same body that it was prescribed for before, just that because of society my medical well being is no longer a priority and pain apparently is all in the mind cough cough

Re: Life can be a Pain

I hear you @TAB

All in the mind of course - and addiction - some people do become addicted but not everyone - how confusing that everyone has to suffer because some people are unfortunate or careless - so sad that

That cough sounds terrible today - never tried Black and Gold Vicks - you need the real deal - I have some here - I wish I could send it through the fibreoptic system but alas - I cannot

Take it easy today Tabby Cat and try and get the real deal Vicks

Re: Life can be a Pain

yeah well not my fault some bikie is making millions turning legal stuff into illegal and re selling it @Owlunar nor the cashless welfare card am on now when not working re other peoples problems anyhoo lol

yes no fibre optics here, or none that anyone wants

stopped counting at 1 letters telling me to connect to it, last one telling me un used phone and adsl wahtever that is has been diconnected meanywhile I keep putting up with inconsistent mobile phone signal, which gets over loaded by nbn types when they get priority on network when nbn falls over .

Wish it was 2000. ok 2010. ok 1990. 1980. 1970 lol this country is so backwards these days

yes rant done. and got real vicks, the other stuff no good

Re: Life can be a Pain

I'm glad you got the real Vicks - el cheapos work sometimes but not always

But then I got some expensive shampoo that was a disappointment - that's a bummer too

When I started at university - in my 30s - such a long time ago - I saw these empty blister cards that had been "smurfed" that's the stuff I guess - all over the place and I wondered about these for years - yeah - people will do whatever and a campus is the place I guess - I learned a lot more at university that what was ever taught there

I had an email a couple of months back that I would be disconnected from the land line but I have a USB connection so if that happens before I get up to Telsta it happens. I am not interested in the NBN - I have been hearing about this for years and now I have said it - well it might happen.

I actually heard about the fibre optics before I was on the internet - back in the 90s - it's taking it's time getting here - anyway

I never want to go backwards - in my life or in time - I do not want any repeats - or choices I once had and chose - rightly or not

I am excited about what might happen next - disappointment I may not be around for many things - glad I won't be here for the continuation of climate change

But that's me - and nearly every sentence here starts with "I" -

Gotcha @TAB

The music was great in the 80s but the movies less so

And now we have the thought-police, the food police, the sleep police - they just can't let us grow old in peace
