I don't understand how "talking about it" is meant to help?
Part of the reason I feel the way I do is because I'm just so burnt out.
Almost everyday is the same: get up, get ready for work, commute to work, work, commute home, get home exhausted, get ready for bed, repeat.
Whatever money I earn just goes to bills. I'm too exhausted at the end of the day to do anything like hobbies (not to mention it's dark, so that excludes any outside activities) or socialise.
I like my job and work, but that doesn't mean I want it to be all encompassing.
It might be a bit more palatable if I could work towards achieving something - saving for something, or working towards a promotion - but that doesn't happen anymore.
Of course, I could give up the job and work less, but then I wouldn't be able to pay the bills or put food on the table and that would be far worse.
So, with this problem being a major component of my low mood how is "talking about it" with a shrink, or anyone else, meant to help?
