Hi @Butterfly_love
I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way, Butterfly-love. That sounds incredibly difficult. Have these feelings been with you for a long time?
I know you haven't found helplines helpful, which makes sense if it’s hard to put your feelings into words. Have you considered speaking to your GP? When I reached out, I found that medication helped take the edge off my obsessive thoughts, which gave me a bit of space to feel hope again. The negative voice is still there, but it’s quieter now.
A big part of the journey is figuring out who we truly are. For a long time, I felt like I was failing because I didn’t have a partner or children, but I’ve come to realize that I actually enjoy my own company. It’s not always easy, but I remind myself that my path is just as valid as anyone else’s.
As an autistic person, I’ve faced bullying my whole life. This year, it really took its toll, and I seriously thought about giving up. But then something shifted, I felt anger. Anger at all the people who made my life unbearable and left me hating myself. That anger gave me strength. I started taking small risks, like letting go of the need to please everyone just so they’d like me. I’ve also learned to be quiet when I need to, which has brought me a lot of peace. If people think I’m standoffish, I just tell them I’m autistic and sometimes I need silence.
I hope you find that strength too, Butterfly-love. You deserve kindness, especially from yourself.
Sending you warmth and support.
Snuggles 🥰
