anxiety

anxiety

having a lot of trouble switching off from a situation i have going on. Ive had issues with ptsd and with people with manipulative and controlling behaviour in the past and this current situation is different but feels the same and i have this sick feeling in my stomach all the time. Im trying to remove myself from the situation and even though im kind of doing that theres that overwhelming feeling that they will take control again and even though im away from that situation i need help from others to do that so im kind of at everyones will

Hey @boutthattime , that sounds so tough not being able to switch off. What are some things you have tried.

It's great you have been able to reach out the community here.

Re: anxiety

@tyme pretty much everything. Im off work at the moment so i took the dog for a hike down the beach this morning and got some things done i needed done. Im not a reader i find it hard to watch movies i literaly put the tv on to sleep. I had news around this situation this arvo and im really worried that im about to get forced back into a scenario that 1 keeps me awake all night so ill be driving like that and this other person has been trying to create scenarios where punches will be thrown. Not just with me but others as well so im making it really clear with everyone involved that i cant be there all the while this person is tring to create this scenario. This person is narcisistic and while im not actually scared of this person physically , what they do behind the scenes is confronting, every job i apply for from here will need a police clearance and i beleive this person has been doing this to others not just me for that exact reason. Ive seen behaviour that ive never dealt with

I'm glad you were able to get out a little. At the same time, I hear your fear and anxiety around this person who seems to have some 'power' over you @boutthattime ?

Is this something you can contact the police about?
