I don't think the way you have been treated is also the way most professional supports and services with treat you. I encourage you to keep trying to find someone in the community who treats you the way you deserve and expect.
While I can fault the bedside manner of my therapists, @RiverSeal , the fact is that 90% of why my therapy experiance was a disaster comes down to how the system is set up; not rogue therapists violating the norms of the system. Thus, I am quite sure that my therapy experiance would be effectively the same, even if I did go back into therapy.
At it's core, the system is intollerant of suicide, yet more willing to tollerate miserable standards of living. And it has an agenda to badger it's patients into adhering to these values; to badger them into preferring indefinite misery over death. You'd be hard pressed to find a therapist who does not adhere to this agenda.
And I have read countless pieces of testimony, both on here and in other places, that repeatedly state (in alignment with my own experiance) that therapists simply don't do anything to fix peoples' real-world problems. The system isn't set up for them to offer the real help that people need!
A while back, here on SANE, there was a 'Topic Tuesday' or 'Thoughtful Thursday' or something similar, that focussed on mens' problems, and you guys brought in an expert speaker to lead the conversation. And he basically told us point blank that: "The fact is, your all really on your own, because the government does occasionally set up programs to help with your various issues, but they give them like 5 minutes worth of funding, and then their gone before they've even really gotten established. So you shouldn't count on having any real help you can reach out to."
That's probably the most honest statement I've ever heard from an official source about the genuine availability of 'help' out there.
