Is there a monster hidden within...

Is there a monster hidden within...

I recently had some issues and the good side of me let the bad side of me take over without even a whimper. So, I am now wondering if there is a monster hidden within my mind. I started a trip to a close friend who needed a supporting shoulder however by the time I arrived the 'monster' was already planning his horrible manipulative actions.

I will not bore you with the details, but it has left some mental scars on both people involved as well as effecting their family and friends because of the nature of the beast. Thankfully I am not that bad however, there is always the potential, and I never want to be that horrible person again. I need to remove them from my mind completely!

Hey @Arbie_wun ,

From reading your post, I wonder if there is a 'monster' within each one of us? I recently met my monster earlier this week.

And the solution, is it to 'get rid' of the monster or to get to know it a bit better so you know how to better tackle it? That is my question.

@tyme I do not like that other side of me... so I would rather remove the monster than make friends with it. I want to lock it in a cage and throw away the key. It is an unpleasant side of me that shouldn't be allowed to grow and become worse.

@Arbie_wun try not to beat yourself up over it, the fact that you recognised that the monster part of you came out is a good thing. And you are already working on trying to get rid of that part.

@tyme sometimes I do think we all have that monster inside of us and it's just learning to coexist really.
