Something’s not right

It's loud so loud

It's loud so loud

I don't know what to say because i don't know if what is going on is really happening. I don't feel manic.

It's not an episode.

So it has to be right.

Re: It's loud so loud

@Scarebear83 you sound like you are conflicted between what's reality and what's not. And it can be very hard to tell the difference when you suffer from manic episodes.

You are having a hard time right now but that doesn't mean that you aren't sane.

I really encourage you to reach out to lifeline, 13 11 14 or they also have a chat option. You don't have to go through this alone and there is help out there.

I'm afraid to share my thoughts.
For a few years I was told that it's all in my head. . So have kept everything to myself as no matter what it is, it's in my head.

@Scarebear83 i understand your fear. But this is a non judgemental space to chat. Chances are there's others here that have or are going through similar things.

Have you thought about seeing a gp and getting some referrals to talk to a counsellor or psychologist?

Yeah I have. Unfortunately I can't afford them.
Think my depression has kicked in big time

It sounds like you have good insight. I would try visualising a pleasant scene to distract the brain from auditory channels. A bit like scissors, paper, stone.

Yes, you sound sane. Think of it as what Dr Adam Rock (UNE Psychology Department) calls a spiritual awakening, at this stage, rather than a psychological breakdown.

If you are in Sydney, try Newtown community centre for a list of bulk billing psychologists who have no out of pocket expenses. If you are not in Sydney, they may be able to do a phone or video hookup with you. Be patient while you try to find someone you feel comfortable with.

Re: It's loud so loud

@Scarebear83 morning, just checking in to see how you are going? I hope you managed to get some sleep.

I know there's options out there to get cheap or free sessions to get help. I'm hoping some other members might have some suggestions today on who else you can reach out to for support.

You aren't alone in this, we are here for you.

Still not good.
But I managed to have a few bites of a big mac.
It's been a few days since eating.
I can't feel them around me at the moment.
