Honestly a bit lost at the moment.

Honestly a bit lost at the moment.

I know that I have issues with mental health, that is a given, but at the moment I can't put a finger on what is wrong. I find myself sometimes not being able to quieten my mind and other times the thoughts are muddled and a certainly blur the lines of reality in my opinion.

I have been given assistance with mental health previously but each time once I seem ok it ceases, the thing is it is helpful for a while but then things become blurred again. I have a cousin who has a mental health illness and recently found that my great grandmother on my father's side also had some issues so much, so she was hospitalized.

I have noticed a pattern so to speak as well, when I am highly stressed my thinking can be a little bit off and that is something that I wasn't aware of until recently as well.

Currently I am fumbling around in the darkness so to speak, as I seek the light switch. I am awaiting a GP appointment and hopefully then we can develop a Mental Health Treatment Plan to go with my Medical one.

That's good.

Although it sounds like you spend a lot of time on your own.

I know if I spent extended periods of time on my own they were usually the hardest times.

Allowing close friends and family in on how I was feeling was a real turning point.

Also doing the things I find give me happiness, purpose and a sense of achievement helped change my thoughts patterns over time.

Gradually I learnt I had the power to control my mind, not the other way around.

I had to dig deep if I wanted my life to change but it was worth all the hard work.

What kind of support system do you have with friends/family/partner?

Can you explain how you are feeling to them?
