Hello wonderful people.

Today's topic: a deep dive into a unique and totally random topic.

This thread is for distraction, hopefully fun and informative as well.

I'll try to post regular topics to just have fun with and random conversations to get us out of our heads and maybe learn something too.

@The-red-centaur @rav3n

History: In the 1800s, people traded potatoes for gold.

Imagine being able to just trade a few potatoes for a nice gold ring 🤣

@Former-Member @rav3n hi. I fell asleep sorry. I wasn't feeling well, got a headache after lunch. If I gain some energy again I'm going to make something with potato for dinner.

I used to eat potatoes every day, I had dysphagia so could only eat mash for a very long time, I lived off potatoes. Mmm spiced mash potatoes. Hmm. Maybe dinner. That one isn't too hard to make.

The Great Famine in Ireland, also known as the Potato Famine, killed around one million people from starvation and disease. The famine also caused millions of people to emigrate from Ireland. It occurred between 1845 and 1852.

@Former-Member not at all. Sorry I wasn't there more.

I often get really tired in the afternoons, I had a busy morning, I went to the craft group and then had a meeting with my ndis housing program manager. I got a headache coz I forgot to eat/drink all morning I think. I also not been sleeping much. I'm just resting on the couch under the air-conditioning now. My room gets stuffy.

hope that nap was good!! @The-red-centaur feel free to pop in and out whenever you need, your health is first priority.

'let's drink some fermented liquid potato!' would definitely draw my attention.

@Former-Member we really did miss our chance at owning a fortune!! exchanging potatoes for wealth sounded more fun than paper money.
