Yep, that's probably exactly what Jelly puss is thinking....
That's why she's been running me raggard, & doing poos on the floor (refusing to use litter tray) - even when the litter is fairly clean & mostly fresh.

Re: EVERYTHING CATS!!
Can you try puppy training mats @Adge ? I don't know whether you've seen them, but they are a bit like a paper towel with a moisture-proof backing ..... and I believe they are scented in a way that dogs / cats can pick up and it encourages them to soil there. Then you gradually move the mat to another location, perhaps closer to the litter tray .... but wait till she's ready to go from mat to tray if she is attitudinal ......
My disabled child was my youngest to toilet train. The others all had control issues about it ..... became their problem to still be wearing nappies after their peers were in underwear and they made the switch when they were ready to. Your cat is sounding like that .....

Re: EVERYTHING CATS!!
Thanks @Faith-and-Hope Good suggestions. I've been told that it's behavioural issues - to get my negative attention, or for some other reason. She was well trained when I got her, & she always used the litter tray. Bu virtually not at all for many months now. If I change the entire litter very frequently every few days (which is so hard to keep up with) - she will use it once or twice. Then she won't. The scratching post helped for a week or two - then she demolished it (ripped it to shreds). Adge

Re: EVERYTHING CATS!!
As with a child, try to give her attention when she is behaving well, and coo and make sweet noises around her without giving her eye contact when she's not so good. Hopefully she will learn that negative behaviour meets with matter-of-fact obliviance, but positive behaviour results in treats and full caring attention.
