Anyone live in supported accommodation

Anyone live in supported accommodation

Hello I am having go to leave my environment for safety and get in supported accommodation without ndis supports so it's very expensive and will take most of my money. I'm trying to tell myself a few months of tight living to Java a safe place, and the right care is worth more than money right?

prioritising your safety definitely sounds like the right move @Former-Member unfortunately i don't know much about support accommodations but i'm sure others will chime in and share more about it soon.

i know this isn't an easy move, your strength and courage does not go unnoticed here.

Yep. I think supported accommodation is definitely something to look into. At the same time, getting access to NDIS is of utmost priority. Can you look into the feedback from your NDIS access request to see what other paperwork you need? @Former-Member

@The-red-centaur may be able to share a bit about supported accommodation (no pressure).

@Former-Member hi. I live in ndis accommodation. I can answer a few questions you may have.

Getting on the ndis and campaigning for SIL funding was a long hard fight. I have lived in sil for just over 2 years. It has helped me a lot. And has been worth the struggle to get it.

I have also been in boarding style supported accommodations in the past. Which were self funded. I didn't really suit the environment but some people it helps them a lot.

Yes I am here in a remote area isolated no help no access and thinking do I bunker and bare the shared boarding with my own room to get to ndis and hopefully it will just demonstrate my need for it I don't know I'm scared but I've also been displaced for so long now anything to get me closer to feeling like I have a home is something I have to pursue.

thank you for your input @The-red-centaur
