I’m bored.. + some random thoughts

Actually, it's pretty good they responded 30th Dec at 8pm @Blackcloud . Most people are still off and don't go back to work until next week.

What do you think is helpful at this moment?

@Blackcloud oh that's pretty cool! i heard that melb had 4x more fireworks than sydney harbour bridge this year? or something like that.

my new years was pre chill, just stayed at my friends house and didn't get to see any fireworks unfortunately. also went to the beach a couple times to catch the sunset, it was quite cloudy but still loved it.

ahh yep that does make it a bit harder. i recall you looking for a job earlier, just wondering - do you feel comfortable teaching english (primary school/highschool level english) or doing baby-sitting/nanny type of roles?

@rav3n I mean I did look up roles that foreigners can do overseas, and it seems that teaching English to students is the only role that’s out there? Idk if I really wanna do that though cause I’m not comfortable with kids + my mental health is not even the best, and there are Asian countries (including Korea) that still look down upon mental health so…and in some countries (like Korea & Japan), you’re required to obtain a bachelor’s degree of any field you’re doing in order to be able to teach English in those countries. Whereas other countries like Cambodia and so fourth don’t require you to get any degree in order to teach English there. And don’t get me started on Cambodia. There’s soooo many things about that country and the culture itself that I hate. as a Cambodian myself, I still don’t wish to ever associate myself with my ethnic background for…many reasons. I mean, yeah Cambodian people are like the friendliest out there but that’s the part I really hate too (the ‘saving face’ culture if you’ve heard of that)

yeah i was going to mention the teaching english to kids as an option, but i totally understand what you mean. i wouldn't want you to feel burnt out @Blackcloud perhaps once you get monetised for your vlogs, that can help you out too!

ohh i don't know much about the term 'saving face' but from my quick google it says its about holding a certain reputation? if so, i can definitely relate, my culture has its version of that too.

@rav3n yeah like in my ethnic culture, we have to always show that we’re happy because if we dare to show any signs of unhappy/negative emotion or whatever especially in public or if we’re talking to I guess anyone really, then it’s very much frowned upon. Also, mental health there is not at all taken seriously either.
