@Former-Member she asked me on messages like more than half an hour ago if i've joined any group (social group) yet and then when I answered her about it, she then says that I need to meet new people to socialise and blah blah blah. What's even annoying is that she tells me this all the time these days.

Like last Monday, I've literally tried joining an online social group thats catered for women that are on the autism spectrum but I've happened to not get anything out of it when I joined there tho...and I left that group like an hour earlier than the finished time

@Blackcloud sounds like she is putting alot of pressure on you which really isn't fair. Good on you for joining one and giving it a try. It's all a matter of working out what suits you and what you are comfortable with.

Ach, that's so rough @Blackcloud - does your mum know that when she pressures you it actually makes the process harder?

@Jynx she doesn’t - in fact she believes the opposite unfortunately.

Sounds like she doesn't really make room for your unique experiences @Blackcloud and just wants what she thinks is best for you. That's really rough!

Gotten to a point where you can ignore her? Or not ignore like, still talk to her, but just don't take personally anything she says?

@Jynx @To be honest it’s really hard not to take them personally, especially when she’s the one that wants to act like the parent that ‘cares’ a lot about you and wants to control you.

Also, I really want to tell her that caring too much is not good for her, no, seriously.

Yeah nah I agree @Blackcloud too much caring is not good for us!! Especially if it means we're not looking after ourselves. Life's all about balance after all!
