I wish that sane had more funding and would have support not only during working hours, as I find beyondblue and lifeline hopeless when I feel badly. They're both great services, but just not helpful at times. Beyondblue just redirected my question to another service and I didn't dare to contact lifeline as I was scared they would call the ambulance on me.

You guys understand there are hard times and help.

Anyway I made it through the night and am seeing my psychiatrist so I can discuss some of the stuff I'm lost and confused about.

It's good to hear that you coped overnight and are seeing your psychiatrist to discuss what you're feeling lost and confused about. Good on you for taking that proactive step.

I'm glad that you feel understood and helped by SANE I just wanted to clarify that the Forums are moderated 24/7, so there is always a moderator on, who sees all the posts that go up. In terms of the SANE Help Centre, the helpline (1800 18 7263) and online chat service are available 9am-5pm AEST Monday to Friday.

@Former-Member you mentioned Lifeline and beyondblue are sometimes helpful. If you would like another option too, there is also another 24/7 support service that you might find helpful called Suicide Call Back Service (1300 659 467) - they actually offer 6 scheduled sessions with the same counsellor as well as responding to incoming calls.
