@tyme
Oh gosh the 7 year old will probably do a better job than me then. Way to go lol. Nevermind I am pretty secure these days. I can deal with that. You must be a fabulous Auntie for them to want to spend so much time with you. Maybe you should buy a bunk bed or something.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member I'm sorry, i know how hard that must be. Once one of them knows you have no friends or family, you'd like to think they'd pass that on to the others so that they dont keep asking. I think a lot of people just dont comprehend how its possible. But sadlt it is for a lot of people.
I know i was repeatedly told to allow my friends and family to help as anyone dealing with what I was would need them. I eventually just got tired of saying i only had one person i could count on, it was not only embarrassing, but just made things harder to have to keep saying it. So i ended up just nodding and changing the subject.
Since then, ive doubled the amount of people I have that i know i can talk to when I'm feeling like things are getting on top of me. Okay, its actually 2 people now, but that is still double so i stand by it! 😄
And just in case you were thinking it, no, that doesnt include any cats! Although... I should. Yes. So I take back what I said. I have five people i can talk to now when im really struggling.

Little things??? @Former-Member - That's more than I even dream of doing!
@MJG017 , so glad to hear you have more people to open up to and talk to. Absolutely incredible!

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 you would think so, but is really feel like they don't communicate enough with each other. I'm glad you have at least a couple of friends now and yes animals count aswell, they are often the best listeners. I'm sitting here crying now as I was going back through my phone to find pictures to share here and I went past all the pictures of my babies (dogs) that I've lost over the past 5 years.

Re: Life and trauma
@tyme i did have plans on making enough turtles to try to sell to make money to get a puppy to train as my assistance dog. But that dream very quickly fell apart. But oh well, i have a heap of cute little turtles that maybe one day I'll find something to do with.

I have an idea. You put a turtle in a plastic bag with a note and you give it to someone who looks sad to cheer up their day.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member my partner kearnt how to crochet a few years ago and ive watched her make similar things to you photos, albeit with much less colours. Ive watcher her do it and I just dont have the patience for it, so I wouldnt say its a little thing.
I showed her your little turtle though and she really liked the idea of it.
