Why does morning have to come around so fast. I really could do with so much more sleep 😴. Hope everyone had a good sleep and got more than I did.

Why is it so easy to change between moods? Last night I was on such a high, happy and laughing. Now today I'm struggling again. Guess it probably isn't helping that my heart keeps going into vt rhythm so I keep getting surrounded by people who want to prod and poke me and ask me a million questions.

Good morning @Former-Member
Its sounds like you managed to at least get some sleep, which is good news. Clearly hospital isnt the idea place for lots of sleep even under ideal conditions. I remember when i was in, the gave me some ear plugs and closed the curtain around my bed, which made it easier to get a bit of extra sleep during the day. The ear plugs helped a lot at night as well. obviously it doesnt help with all the constanr interuptions but it helped me a lot to get bits of sleep here and there.
I take it you heart hasn't settked back down yet? Has the been any improvement at all?
Sorry to hear youre feeling a bit down this morning, but i think its normal for that to come and go for most of us. The important thing to remember is you are having those times now when you are feeling those happier moments. So i think you can look at that as a major win right now. Plus we're still around to keep you company and I have plenty more awful Christmas cracker jokes!

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 i got 5 hours of broken sleep so more than I've had in a while. But my heart rate was down to around 100 but now we are back up to 140 and spiking to over 200 at times.
I know these moments don't last forever but when they are happening more often than not at the moment it's very frustrating.
Always up for some jokes, need to try to take my mind off of things.

I totally get how frustrating it must be, not to mention terrifying, but it does seem to be improving so try to keep reminding yourself of that and it may help reduce some of that stress and frustration. Keep trying to rest up as much as you can.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 frustrating isn't even the word. But I do laugh at my nurse who has bells in his beard so makes sure he jingles when he comes in to see me.

@MJG017 very true. Wasn't what I expected to see first thing this morning. How was your night and how's your day been so far?
