Re: Life and trauma
Hello @Ru-bee . I've vacummed my house, done dishes, done washing, had a shower. And set up an old AFX car track set that's now taking up my whole loungeroom floor. I tried to watch my show, listen to music and colour but I just don't have it in me at the moment. I need to keep busy but now I'm just lost as to what to do. I should have dragged my chores out longer 😂

Ah no, you were too efficient! @Former-Member
I could teach you how to drag chores out...I swear it takes me soooo long to get even the most basic one done, that is until there's something else I'm meant to be doing then suddenly I can't get enough chores. Used to happen all the time back when I was studying.
Any really simple chores that you might not have done? Like dusting or something?
I'm just about to hop into a quick meeting but I'll be back in a bit!

Re: Life and trauma
@Ru-bee i tend to throw myself into the chores so it's all over and done with quite quickly. I've done little bits and pieces but very small tasks that don't take long.
Hope your meeting goes well.

Done @Former-Member It was mainly just chatting to other people here at SANE about how great the forums is and how amazing the community is, so I'd say it went pretty well 😄
I try to throw myself into chores nowadays, I find I can only really do it for short bursts though so I set 10 minute timers and challenge myself to see how much I can get done in that time haha it's like a game with myself

Re: Life and trauma
@Ru-bee a successful meeting then.
Once I start i don't stop until everything is done. I've managed to make it to the shops not sure what to do here but needed to do something.

Re: Life and trauma
Look at you go @Former-Member good on you for getting out of the house, I'm also going to make myself venture out to the shops once I finish work. I can't really be bothered but I do just need a reason to get out of the house

Re: Life and trauma
@Ru-bee i found myself a pair of stitch pj's. I couldn't really afford them but i needed something to cheer myself up. It wasn't a bad trip out and I managed to stop myself from having a full on panic attack. So that's my little win for the day 😊

Re: Life and trauma
I'd say new stitch pjs + managing a potential panic attack = a big win @Former-Member
I love a good pair of pjs! Always feel the most snug putting on a fresh pair at the end of the night

Re: Life and trauma
@Ru-bee and I have a smile on my face cos I just got an amazing support letter from a special someone to me (i can't say anything more than that) to hopefully help my situation changing with housing SA. Trying to see the positive in a very stressful situation.
