Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 i contemplated trying to find an excuse but at the same time if I don't push myself to go out then I would be a hermit crab never leaving the house 😂.

Still have to wait until 10 before I can go to bed though but it's only an hour to go now. Zombie mode is activated 😂.

Well... yes, that is the downside. You do very quickly become a hermit if you give in to those urges too often.

I've been working on an assignment and realized its 10.30 and I was planning on a very early night, so this quick reply and i'm done for the day... finally! 😁 Although not quite as early a night as originally intended. Oh well, it was always going to happen. 🤣

I do like the idea of a zombie mode though. I really could use on of those at times.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 got a bit carried away with the assignment, writing a million words no doubt 😂.

I'm about to wind down for the night, was just doing some colouring. But now that I'm in bed I'm wide awake.

I think i spend most of my life on zombie mode 😂.

Night night, hope you get some sleep. Chat to you tomorrow 😊. And wish your partner good luck for tomorrow for me ❤️.

It's more you answer one question and you look down and there's another! It just goes on and on!

That is so annoying! Why is it that lying in a comfy bed in the dark seems to the the one surefire cure to feeling tired?! 😁

Good night to you as well. No doubt you'll hear from me at some stupid hour tomorrow morning while I'm in the waiting room trying not to have my IQ lowered by the sound of the TV again. Those morning shows are awful!!

I will pass on you best wishes.

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 the questions just go on and on, kind of like an annoying toddler asking why every 2 seconds 😂

Exactly, I'll be sitting on my lounge almost falling asleep so I'll go to bed lay down than boom I'm wide awake 😂.

Well I'm happy to keep you distracted while you are stuck in a waiting room, morning TV is shocking and there's a reason i don't watch TV.

Now off to the land of nod you, night night 😊.

It is like a toddlerthrowing question after question at you. Explain this. Explain that. What would you do? Why would you do it? It's like the Spanish inquisition! It would at least be easier and less time consuming for everyone involved if they were all just simple yes/no questions. I remember when the hardest thing about a test was remembering to put my crayons back when I was done... and not messing with that annoying kid's hair after I'd done my finger painting! Everything is so over complicated these days!

I'm currently sitting in the car, waiting for the call from the nurse that my partner is ready to leave recovery. I couldn't stand the morning tv anymore so I just had to leave. Although it's not safe in here. I just had to sneeze and I grabbed a tissue and poked myself in the eye with it! How do you poke yourself in the eye with a tissue?! It boggles the mind. Fortunately there's an eye day surgery right in front of me. I think I'll be fine though, because I'm smart enough to know if I'm going to poke myself in the eye, do it with a tissue!

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 at least toddler questions are relatively easy to answer, teenager questions are worse or you just can't understand what gibberish they are talking 😂. Yes and no questions are so much easier. Why do they have to over complicate everything these days.

I shouldn't laugh but I did giggle, only because I do it all the time. I go to rub my eye or scratch my nose and poke myself in the eye. It's just another one of the many talents we have, normal people aren't capable of doing the special things we do 😂.

Do hope your eye is ok though and that your partner is in recovery soon.

I've got an appointment at 9am and I'm so tired.

We certainly do have some very special talents. 😁

A 9am appointment would usually have me annoyed at having to get up so early. The past couple of days though, 9am feels like the middle of the day! 😄

The weirdest thing though is drive out to the eye clinic, a 40 minute drive to the other side of the city, at 5.45am, it surprised me how much traffic there is! Who knew so many bakers live in Adelaide! 🤔

Re: Life and trauma

@MJG017 that we do.

Yeah when you are up early 9am feels like the middle of the day and the rest of the day just seems to drag on.

It's crazy how busy the roads are early in the mornings. But yay for yummy bakery foods though, maybe a snack for you and your partner once you finish at the appointment?

The nurse just called, we'll be ready to leave in 30mins, so it will be straight to a cafe for some brekkie!

I already feel like the day is half over and it's barely 8am! What the heck do people do with all this time every day?!
